Steve Millburg has been making his living with words for 35 years. (He started young. Very, very young.) He spent 16 years in the newspaper business (with the Omaha World-Herald in Nebraska and the St. Petersburg Times in Florida) and 17 years in the magazine business (Southern Living and Coastal Living, plus a couple of magazines that are now defunct—through no fault of Steve’s, of course). Most recently, he was senior editor for travel at Coastal Living. Yes, it was a very cool job, but he left to pursue a childhood dream: writing novels. He really has wanted to be a novelist ever since grade school. It just took him a few decades to get around to it. He also does freelance writing and editing for magazines, newspapers, book publishers, and whoever else is interested.
